An Analysis Of China-Pakistan's "all-weather Strategic Partnership"

With the proposal of " the community of destiny " "Asian new security concept","amity,sincerity,mutual benefit and inclusiveness"and "one belt,one road",the peripheral diplomatic work is more and more significant.The new concept of the "diplomatic style of Chinese President Xi Jinping" is building the community of Chinese peripheral diplomacy.As China's important neighbors and the bridge connecting the Middle East,Pakistan plays an important role in the strategic balance and stability of the South Asian region.Pakistan has important economic,security,strategic value for China,developing China-Pakistan relations conforms to the fundamental interest of both countries,which is also a common expectation of people in both countries.The " all-weather strategic cooperative partnership "between China and Pakistan is unique in the history.Not only the government attaches great importance to it,But it's also a hot topic of international studies.Therefore,this paper presents the " all-weather strategic cooperative partnership " between China and Pakistan as an optional topic,which has important academic value and practical significance.China attaches great importance to Pakistan,and always regard Pakistan as its diplomatic priority.Pakistan was the first stop for Chinese President Xi Jinping's first visit to other countries in 2015.As we all know,the development of China-Pakistan relation isn't always going smoothly.It has some tortuous experience.But recently,the bilateral relation has made a rapid and healthy development and formed the "all-weather strategic cooperative partnership".This is not only the attention of the leaders of both countries,but also the need of the development of economic and trade relations,maintaining regional security and building the "community of destiny".On the one hand,China needs help from Pakistan in promoting the construction of "One Belt and One Road"as well as connectivity.China can reach the India Ocean region through Pakistan,which will speed up the construction of "the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road".On the other hand,Pakistan also hopes to promote domestic economic construction and social development,change domestic backwardness with China's developmental power.The purpose of this study is having a further analysis of the "all-weather strategic partnership" between China and Pakistan.Through the study of the current situation and characteristics of China-Pakistan relations,this thesis will make a further study on the causes of the current relations' formation progress,revealing some problems existing in China-Pakistan relations and putting forward some corresponding suggestions.This paper made a comprehensive analysis about "the all-weather strategic partnership between China and Pakistan" with qualitative study and historical approach,particularly on the factors affecting the development of bilateral relations.These factors are not only domestic factors,but also external factors.From a practical point of view,the domestic factors promoting the development of bilateral relations are economic development cooperation,security,social development,and so on.External factors include power game between the United States,India and many other countries,security issues and international cooperation in South Asia.However,even though the two sides have formed "the all-weather strategic partnership",they still face some challenges in the developmental process,including political instability,religious issues,the trade deficit problems,non-traditional security issues,as well as external factors,such as America,India.All these factor are possible to have a certain degree of obstruction to the normal development of bilateral relations.Therefore,communication and cooperation should be strengthened to face many challenges.Through joint efforts between the two sides,they will eliminate adverse factors in the new historical period.
