Currently, high school Chinese pays more attention to the education of ancient texts. We can see that from the increasing proportion of ancient texts from the second term of senior year. One of the key difficulties that encountered by teacher is the interpretation of words or phrase during the teaching in literary Chinese. With regard to the words or phrase meaning that is marked in literary Chinese, if they are considered to be authoritative and correct, then the teacher can teach students according to the notes in the course of teaching since these notes are accomplished by a lot of experts after deep consideration and repeat confirmation. Undeniably, a bit of errors and incorrect interpretation that occurred in these notes often caused by a lot more people who attend textbook compiling, different compiling duration or negligent proofreading after publication.Commentariology is aimed at check and proofread the words or phrase, and comprehensively interpret the main meaning in literary Chinese. Commentariology has been developed to mature for a long time. It exerts some extraordinary influence on helping people read classical literature. Currently, exegesis method is one of the most effective methods of interpreting classical literature. Therefore, carrying out the method can help students preferably study ancient texts in literary Chinese education at high school. The author studies the application of exegesis method in ancient poems education in high school Chinese by use of enumerating examples.The paper is divided into five sections:The first section mainly introduces commentariology and basic concept of exegesis method, which explains the theory of them. This section paves the way for introducing the application of exegesis method.The second section analyzes the reason for necessarily applying commentariology into teaching ancient poems at high school.The third section is the core content of this paper. This section mainly analyzes and explains how to apply exegesis method into literary Chinese teaching at high school, which will be fully demonstrated by instances.The fourth section mainly introduces the advantages of teaching ancient poems at high school by taking advantage of commentariology.The fifth section mainly discusses the problems and principles that should be noticed during using exegesis method.Exegesis method exerts unique significance on high school Chinese teaching. It can creatively help students understand the words and phrase in literary Chinese, this is a brand new and far-reaching path. The theory of exegesis method is in combination with practical teaching by attempting to apply exegesis method into teaching. It is of great significance to verify the theory of exegesis method and enhancing the quality of teaching in literary Chinese.
