Punctuation is a supplementary text symbol to record language is an integral part of the written language, used to indicate the nature and function of pause, tone and words. Punctuation has a long history, since ancient times is the continuous development of the modern development has been basically perfect.Punctuation plays an important role in language learning, influence students' language literacy. These problems directly affect students' writing and life.This paper starts from the historical development of punctuation, through analysis of the role of punctuation, punctuation teaching and learning situation, to find the solution of primary school learning punctuation. Use different teaching methods for different stages of students, for 1- 2 year students mainly uses the method of game, story, reading appreciate the tone, combining sentences, look at the pictures and write the words teaching. For 3-4 year students with sentence comparison method and modification method of wrong sentences, reading teaching methods, textbook for teaching basic punctuation. For the 5-6 school year by students in the specific language environment to learn punctuation, punctuation and composition teaching together, in life to learn punctuation punctuation, strengthen pragmatic training. Through these methods improve the learning efficiency of punctuation and achieved good teaching effect.
