Language education in our country has always attached importance to composition teaching, which accounts for nearly half of the high school Chinese teaching. The quality of composition not only affects the students' language performance directly, but also is one of the important means to test the effect of high school language teaching. But the current situation of Chinese composition teaching in high schools, with a lot of drawbacks, is not optimistic. How do we change this situation?This paper elaborates from four aspects. The first part is the overview of Green Composition, which mainly illustrates the connotation of Green essay writing and significance of it. What is Green Composition? Green Composition refers to a kind of writing style in which the students is not influenced by secular ideas and the constraints of a particular thought pattern, they can express their own feelings to the nature world in order to write an article full of imagination and creativity. It should be worth reading and full of vigor and vitality. Green Composition can change the old teaching ideas, and get rid of the awkward thesis teaching of present situation, on which basis we can explore new methods of composition teaching. The second part illustrates the characteristics and requirements of Green Composition. To make students express green composition individuation, democracy and diversity requires Green Composition to “people-oriented”, to “live as the source”, “enlightenment as the soul”, and “with truth”. The third part is the green composition method, which aims to settle the problem: how to guide students to do Green Composition? According to my own teaching experience, I try to explore reading accumulation method, the main body training method and demonstration method, which is the center of this paper. The fourth part explains the problem that should be paid attention to green composition teaching, and that the concept of Green Composition should be flexible, and avoid stereotypes Reading and writing should be combined in order to avoid one-sided; innovation should be encouraged to avoid empty generalization. This part of this paper is the most far-reaching.
