In recent years, the results of related research indicate that early childhood is the critical period for children to read. The Learning and Development Guide of 3-6 Years Old Children demands that infants like to listen to stories and enjoy reading. It's objectives also include possessing preliminary ability of reading comprehension. Picturebooks are main materials of early reading. And they have extraordinary significance to early reading. A postmodern picturebook is one using postmodern literary methods such as parody, metafiction and so on. It disrupts the passive reading habits of readers. It also enhances readers' reading interest and enrich the experience of reading. The author found that most teachers did not know how to carry out the postmodern picturebooks reading teaching effectively. In the long run, it will against picturebooks reading teaching in kindergarten. The aim of this study is to find the problems in postmodern picturebooks reading teaching and make suggestions.This study randomly selected nine teachers as the interviewees from three kindergartens in Jinan. The participants included 9 teachers who work in junior, middle and senior kindergartens. And the classroom teaching in postmodern picturebooks were observed and recorded. The main research contents are as follows:Chapter one defined relevant concepts of picturebooks, which include postmodern picturebooks, and postmodern reading teaching in the first. After that the article explored the value of postmodern picturebooks.Chapter two includes the status of postmodern picturebooks reading teaching through interviews and classroom record in the kindergartens, the problems of postmodern reading teaching, the reasons of the problems.Chapter three introduces the guidance and advice to carry out the postmodern picturebooks reading teaching in the kindergartens. It includes the promotion of preschool teachers on the postmodern picturebooks' understanding, the reasonable teaching goal, choosing the suitable postmodern picturebooks for children on the basis of comprehending classical text, the flexible implementation of the reading teaching.
