The Chinese subject is very important in the process of inheriting the Chinese traditional culture. On the one hand, the Chinese subject should cultivate students' ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Improving students? Chinese accomplishment, aesthetic taste and developing students? good character are the task of Chinese subject. Above all, Chinese subject should cultivate students? perfect personality. On the other hand, in order to cultivate students? sense of national pride, Chinese subject should enable students understand extensive and profound Chinese culture. In the process of inheritance and development about Chinese culture, the Chinese subject should promote its development. However, from the decades of status of Chinese teaching, Chinese teaching seems to be a big problem. Chinese teaching can?t cultivate students? skills of listening and speaking, not to mention the improvement of their aesthetic taste and their personality. It is not only the drawback of examination–oriented education, but also the problem of Chinese teaching itself.For decades, Chinese teaching focuses on the teaching of reading and writing. Reading is the cornerstone of writing. If not to train the skills of reading, students can?t improve their writing skills. Only when teachers teach well, students learn and read well. For a time, Chinese teaching was always around reading teaching. Most Chinese teachers concentrated on read–oriented and spent a lot of time on training reading ability. They think it will improve student?s ability of writing over time. In fact, it is wrong. Basically Mr Ye is right. Reading is the foundation of writing. If there is no accumulation of reading, the writing ability cannot be developed. The writing ability is comprehensive. In order to improve the writing ability, students should read widely and practice writing. The integrated teaching of reading and writing will make reading and writing as one mode. In the process of teaching, this teaching method will improve students? skills of reading and writing.In order to successfully implement the integrated teaching of reading and writing, this paper discusses its theoretical guidance, preconditions, purposes, principles and tactics. Transfer theory and Aesthetics of Reception provide a theoretical basis for it. The two aspects of the leading role of teacher and the key role of students in learning were payed attention. The most important objective is to improve the students? reading and writing ability. The integrated teaching of reading and writing follows experience principle, emotional principle and inquiry principle. For different types of text, the author puts forward to the corresponding strategy and gives the relevant example. Reading and writing are two wings of Chinese teaching on the integrated teaching of reading and writing.In the process of Chinese teaching, the integrated teaching of reading and writing should be given full attention. The ultimate purpose of the integrated teaching of reading and writing is to improve the students? reading ability and right aesthetic judgement ability. And it will improve students? Chinese quality.
