Professional quality of secondary medical students is in conformity with the requirements of healthcare positions, which helps to complete work and tasks in the future medical practice.Influenced by the social economy, education and the new medical mode, the training of secondary medical students' professional quality faces new challenges. Based on the sustainable development of the secondary vocational medical schools and the demand for talents in the medical and health industry, this thesis explores the strategies of developing secondary medical students' professional quality through investigation and analysis on the current situations of secondary vocational medical students. The purpose is to achieve the all-round development of talent training, push forward the reform and development of secondary vocational medical schools, promote comprehensive progress of the students, train qualified medical workers for the society and contribute to the enrichment and perfection of the theory study on the training for secondary medical students' professional quality. This article combines the study methods of theoretical research and empirical research. In the theoretical dimension, it tries to understand the present situation of secondary medical students' professional quality by referring to the documents at home and abroad. The theoretical foundation of this article is the theory of all-round development of human being by Marx, the educational thought of Cai Yuanpei and the theory of multiple intelligences. In the empirical research dimension, analytic hierarchy process is used to determine the weight of evaluation index. Meanwhile, both interviews and questionnaires are adapted. By these means, this article investigates the individual differences among secondary medical students as well as their development interests and their general professional quality situation. It also analyzes the present situation and existing problems in secondary medical students' professional quality. The investigation indicates that the gender, origin, the number of children in a family and the experience of taking part-time jobs do not have significant influence on the professional quality of secondary medical students. There is significant difference in professional quality between student leaders and those who are not. Graduates and students at school differ greatly in career aspirations and vocational personality, while there is no obvious difference in professional consciousness and professional key ability between them. The professional quality of secondary medical students needs to be improved. There is a lack of career guidance and multiple training methods for professional quality in secondary medical schools.Aiming at the results of the investigation and study, this article puts forward four suggestions on developing secondary medical students' professional quality. First, cultivate students' vocational interest and enhance their occupational emotions based on the vocational ideal education. Second, optimize the curriculum system and innovate teaching methods, focusing on the training of secondary medical students' professional quality. Third, strengthen the construction of practice base on and off campus with job requirement-oriented. Fourth, strengthen career planning guidance and be clear about the career orientation. Fifth, link up the campus culture with hospital culture.
