Content:Respect is a word that is an ancient and full of modern flavor.Respect is also an eternal topic.Respect is the basic moral quality that a person should have.It is also the premise of harmonious coexistence between people.Pupils are builders and participants of the future society,their moral status concerns the overall quality of the Chinese nation,the national future and the national destiny.Their conception of respect and the respect of moral quality will directly affect to the formation of a good social atmosphere in future.The cultivation of students’ respect quality will help them learn to live with others.The paper is in the perspective of moral education.The author chose the theory of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs,moral development stadge theory and Lickona’s character education,as the theoretical basis of this paper.This paper mainly adopts the literature and questionnaire survey to carry out the research.The author divided the respect into four dimensions according to the object: respects for teachers,classmates,parents and other people to investigate children’s conception of respect.Results: School children’s concept of respect is high for respecting teachers.In the face of parents’ education,school children’s concept of respect is not high.School children’s concept of respect is not high for respecting the privacy of the classmates;the elementary students have a lower level for respecting the people in different occupations and when communicate with other people,the concept of respect is lower,too,the concept of respect for other people needs to be improved.Based on the analysis of the survey results,the author thinks that family,school and society have unshrikable responsibility for school children’s concept of respect.According to the cause of schoolchildren’s low concept of respect,the author try to from family and school,the two aspects are given some feasible suggestions,to improve and enhance the school children’s concept of respect,help students really understand the connotation of respect,internalize the quality of respect,explicit respecting behaviors.At the same time,the author also emphasizes that improving school children’s concept of respect can not be on one’s own,it needs combine educational resources in family,school and society.Creating the environment of respect can help the elementary students consciously improve their own quality of respect.
