In order to understand vocational students'moral autonomy learning situation and critical thinking tendencies and the relationship between the two, this study investigated the Nanjing Engineering Vocational School of 744 students by using expert interviews, questionnaires and other methods, getting the following main points:1."Vocational students have good performance in critical thinking and moral learning autonomy.2.Male and female students showed significant gender difference in critical thinking. But the study of moral learning autonomy had no obvious gender differences.3.The students from different majors showed significant differences in critical thinking. Namely science and engineering students have a better performance than the liberal arts students; but the study of moral learning autonomy had no obvious major differences.4.Different grades of students' critical thinking disposition and moral learning autonomy exhibited a significant difference, and both of them tended to decrease.5.Students from rural and urban areas were no significant differences in critical thinking, but metacognitive strategies had obvious major differences.6.The only children and non-only children showed no significant difference incritical thinking and moral learning autonomy.7.Total score and the dimension of moral autonomy and critical thinking showed significant positive correlations. That is moral learning autonomy is stronger, critical thinking skills are stronger. Metacognitive strategy has greater impact on critical thinking disposition.
