This paper is a group counseling experimental research on improving the level of career planning for the junior college students,based on the major of elderly service and management in J institute.24 students were selected as subjects,who were divided into experimental group and control group randomly. Experiments were performed eight times and 16 hours of group counseling in the experimental group, while the control group did nothing. It make an analysis of the scale scores of subjects who accept group counseling before and after and qualitative materials about the interview and feedback of group members to verify the effectiveness of group guidance scheme and discuss contributing factors. Some conclusions are drawn as follows:(1) After group counseling, the overall level of career planning to college students has greatly improved.(2) The group counseling is better benefit to the members to understand themselves,to build their confidence and to increase their career-making ability remarkably than before.(3) The group counseling is benefit to the members to realize their career,but the effect is not obvious.(4) The group counseling of the career planning is an effective means of intervention to junior college students, and the career group counseling scheme in this paper is a feasible set of occupation guidance implementation plan of junior college students.
