Art literacy is one of the essential comprehensive qualities of children's integrated development. And preschool art education plays a great role in the development of children's art literacy. By observing preschool art education in practice, this study finds that some problems which are not conducive to children's development of art literacy still exist and there is still a huge potential for improvement in the target, principle, content, method, environment, etc. of preschool art education. Taking the Bridge-themed activities of S kindergarten for four to five years old children as an opportunity, the researcher, together with teacher T and Q, applied the action research paradigm to launch a spiral action research which includes planning, implementation, investigation, and reflection. This study tries to show the real situation of children's cultivation of art literacy, explore activity design methods, guidance and evaluation strategies, and suitable environment and space settings which are conducive to the cultivation of children's art literacy.The implementation process of the action research has experienced four stages: exploration and discovery stage, adjustment and practice stage, innovation and extension stage, deepening and promotion stage. Based on 31 representative cases collected, the researcher sum up the process and results of experiment under the theme of "Bridge", including activity design, guidance and evaluation, environment settings, etc.The researcher concludes the following supporting strategies for the cultivation of preschool children's art literacy. In terms of activity design, improving teachers'concept of art education and designing activities scientifically; understanding the life and experience of children and designing activities reasonably; obeying the principle of integrity and designing the process completely. With regards to guidance and evaluation, the researcher summarize related strategies from the perspectives of stimulating interest, promoting perception and appreciation, enhancing creativity and performance, improving evaluation and application such as using a variety of artistic languages, mobilizing children's sensory experience, encouraging peer learning, forming diversified evaluation subjects, etc. As for environment and space settings, creating an artistic, safe, and comfortable environment; mining the educational value of art area, and providing personalized expression space.Finally, the researcher summarizes the growth of children, teachers, the researcher, and art courses during the action research. The growth of teachers is mainly reflected in the development of their teaching and research ability and professional quality. The growth of children is mainly gained in the development of the overall literacy of art:their interest in participating in art activities has increased; their ability of perception and appreciation of the beautiful things has increased; their creation and manifestation of art tend to be bold and positive; their ability of peer learning and evaluation has increased. The researcher's research ability has also improved.,her understanding of children has developed from theory into practice. The development of art curriculum is mainly reflected in the establishment of "expert-oriented" curriculum model and the practice of integration and life-oriented curriculum principles.
