Research On Subject Resistance In Interdisciplinary Research At Universities

Modern science and technology is highly developed and knowledge explosive growth, the form of science research in universities have also changed. As a new mode of knowledge production, interdisciplinary studies to become another focal point of knowledge production. There are many interdisciplinary research organization just as interdisciplinary research institute, research center and research group emerged in the universities. However, these organization faced many different resistance in the process of growth and development. The paper focuses on the analysis from the perspective of discipline.Discipline is the basic unit of the university. It is a kind of knowledge, but also a disciplinary regime. As a knowledge, subject divide the inherent logic knowledge in a range of subjects, the subject studies by the community. As a institution, it is to be organized according to different organizational logic of knowledge, improve certain research organization. Analyzed from two levels of discipline, we can explore the impact of the resistance from the disciplines.This paper is divided into four parts, the first part is theoretical analysis of the interdisciplinary study. Including interdisciplinary research history, current situation and characteristics. Summary the problems and basic characteristics in the process of university's interdisciplinary research. The second part is the resistance analysis from the level of academic knowledge. Including restrictions of discipline boundary, exclusion of subject content, the paradox of paradigm. The third part is the resistance analysis from the level of discipline organization. Including the rigidities of organizational structure, the confrontation of organizational power, the conflicts of organizational culture and the imbalance of organizational system. The forth part, for the problem, propose the solution and suggestions. Including across disciplinary boundaries, to integrate interdisciplinary knowledge; breakthrough discipline organization to build interdisciplinary research platform.
