In contemporary China, rural education is a very important social issue, because it not only relates to the vast majority of the Chinese people--farmers and their children's fates, but also goes against the party and the country's will--although the government has payed long-term attention but the development of Chinese rural education is bumpy, full of hardships and difficulties. Undeniable, the gradual improvement of rural schools'running conditions, the "Exempt and Allowance" policy and the adjustment to the layout of rural primary and middle schools, bring hope and expectation for rural education and rural students.Based on the writer's field research, school buildings springing up, rural children still study with a piece of chalk and blackboard in the classroom.A batch of teachers coming in, the modern educational ideas have always yielded to the traditional mode of education. The education reform always being, parents and students have still suffered deep pain from rural education. This paper focuses on the so-called "winner"under the campaign of school closure and merger in rural education. If rural education is studied from an involution eye,maybe we can find the fact of today's rural education--the"winner"has expanded its scale but suffered development stagnation,the staff have less feeling of happiness with the improvement,the schools take on a picture of fake prosperity out of history and culture.Bothering questions are like the following:S, an real example of the "winner" in the adjustment to the layout of rural schools, is worth studying and researching its weakness under the cover of expanded scale. As a representation of local school, S, throughout 20 years' development but still weak and poor, reflects the hardship and difficulty in the reform of rural education. The reason why rural education is suffering from development stagnation, is that it not only lacks some external support, but also suffers from internal problems.The involution development of rural education has disappointed both students and their parents. They try to "escape" the countryside, and some of them believe that it is useless to go school.what's worse, it impedes class mobility. Facing the predicament, we have to ask why. and moreover, to ask how to get rid of all the problems. A better rural education needs the political and financial and manpower support. At the same time, it is a urgent to break binary pattern between city and countryside, and to return to native culture.
