With the awakening of female consciousness, women are now active in every area of society. Gender consciousness is the key of the basic education, especially the adolescent of junior middle school students are in a critical period of gender consciousness, so how do you into the gender perspective in the education problem gradually become the hot topic in the field of education today. As the tool of teaching is the most important, language teaching material, undertake the task of the spread the language knowledge as well as the excellent culture, therefore, students in the process of the formation of the concept of gender more or less will be affected by the effect of implicit gender culture in the language teaching material. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, China's education reform although made great achievements, but the female characters have been neglected in language teaching material, the phenomenon of gender inequality in explicit or implicit way always exist in the teaching material. This paper aims at the current people the lack of female characters in the Chinese textbooks for junior middle school and severe rigid phenomenon study, in order to arouse people's attention and concern.This paper consists of four parts, namely introduction, three main chapters, conclusion and appendix. The text focus in the study of the second and third chapter for this article.Preface, including the purpose and significance of the topic, the role of men and women at home and abroad to study textbooks present research, related concepts, as well as the relevant theoretical foundation and research methods.The body of the first chapter, mainly on the junior high school language textbook female character to appear in the text of the content and frequency of textbook illustrations female characters appearing in the role of women frequency statistical analysis; And over the identity of the female characters, character and image made a specific analysis.The second chapter is mainly based on the first chapter of the junior high school language textbook on gender roles reflects the proportion of female image is too small, the lack of contemporary female image, the image of women lack the social nature of these problems were analyzed, and points out the problems of adolescent boys and girls respectively the influence of gender consciousness.The third chapter is a textbook writers and trainer of some of the recommendations. For textbook writers who pay attention to the construction of gender-based language teaching; for teachers in the teaching process should pay attention to pluralism interpretation of the role of women.
