In recent years,as China's education system continues to improve and reform,a lot of problems appear during the implementation process of the reform in all stages of education and improve all stages of education students receive and absorb the speed and quality of the various disciplines of knowledge in solving problems. But now most of the high school volleyball teaching adopted traditional teaching methods based on educational philosophy. The traditional teaching methods ignored the difference of interest, hobbies, sports motivation, height, weight, intelligence, etc.among students, resulting in the problem that the exceedingly arithmetic students have to slow their learning pace down;teachers urge poor students;poor students feel frustrated and do not know how to improve themselves. After the reform 'of high school curriculum the problem above still exists, and the traditional philosophy of education and teaching methods has failed to meet the needs of today's students' development. In the process of teaching, students are no longer learning basic technical movements only, nor the teacher just complete the teaching task that the lesson plans provided. In the process of teaching, what is more important is to fully mobilize students' passion and enthusiasm. Therefore, more and more attention is paid to how to adopt a better teaching method in the classroom to get every student activated to participate in the sport game, hopefully which can bring the improvement of teaching quality. At present, the problem faced by high school volleyball lesson is how to make every student with different sport levels acquire the learning that is suitable for each individual and can help them get improvement. In this paper, the author used literature, questionnaire, mathematical statistics and logical analysis, experiments and other methods, and selected students from two classes Grade One in the First Middle School of Wudi City as participants. The two classes were treated as experimental classes and control classes, and adopted stratification teaching method and traditional teaching method respectively.By comparing the advantages and disadvantages and the feasibility of teaching methods in both classes,a practical teaching method is proposed for high school physical education, especially for volleyball teaching and in the meantime, some substantive suggestions are provided for PE teachers.Hopefully the development of students'activity levels can be obtained and improvement of athletic interests can also be realized.Teacher,as a principal factor in the teaching process, should found problems, summarize the problem and give feedback and analysis timely, and they also should continuously improve teaching methods by learning more theories, and often communicate with students to improve teaching effectiveness. In this paper, layered teaching method and traditional teaching method were adopted, and students' physical fitness, passing balls in motion, motivation and self-confidence were treated as indicators to be analyzed.Through the comparative analysis of pre-test and post-test,there was no significant difference of physical fitness between the two classes, however, other indicators in the experimental class are better than that in the control class. The conclusion can be achieved that layered approach is superior to the traditional teaching approach in improving students'enthusiasm and interest as well as volleyball techniques.
