With the enhancement of the comprehensive national strength of China, Chinese is also favored by the people all over the world. China as the target language country, more and more people come to China to learn Chinese, except of adult and adolescent, that appeared a batch of special Chinese learners, school-age children and infants. In order to meet the needs of young children to learning Chinese, except international school recruit young Chinese learners, many primary and middle schools open Chinese language center also to receive them. Because the emergence of supply and demand contradiction of Chinese teachers, now a lot of close or similar major people joined the team of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, such as the elementary school language teachers of China. Elementary school language teachers have certain advantages, they have a firm foundation in Chinese knowledge and teaching skills, understand the characteristics of physical and mental of children, also know characteristics of children learning, and they teach in primary and secondary schools, have many opportunities to contact with the young foreign students, but when they go to teach Chinese to foreign school-age children, it is easy to directly apply the teaching model of teaching Chinese as native language in primary school to teaching Chinese as a foreign language of school-age children, leading to poor teaching effect, and school-age foreign children will lose interest in Chinese learning and so on. For transformation Chinese teacher of school-age children are mixture use teaching mode, this paper will based on the writer learned knowledge and theory of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages, and the experience accumulated in the practice of education, from the characteristics of teaching, teaching objects, teaching objectives, teaching principles and teaching methods to compare teaching Chinese as a foreign language to school-age children with teaching Chinese as native language in primary school, to find out the similarities and differences among them, to make the transformation of the Chinese language teachers clear understand that teaching Chinese as a foreign language to school-age children is to cultivate students' cross-cultural communication ability, and the elementary school language teaching is to train students' correct thoughts and values. Only distinguish two kinds of teaching, to foster strengths and circumvent weaknesses after transformation, and full apply of the advantages of the elementary school language teacher and combine Chinese international education theory knowledge, is the escort school-age children happy to learn Chinese and give yourself strength to promote Chinese education.
