The teaching medium is "the language used by teachers in classroom teaching"(Mao,2006:44).It has two major approaches: one is the direct use of the target language without other languages;the other approach is the mixed use of the target language with other languages.In the teaching Chinese as a foreign language,the media language usually refers to "a kind of auxiliary teaching language which can be understood by both teachers and students in order to facilitate the use of Chinese beginners in the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language "(Mao,2006:44),excluding the target language.It can be a learner's mother tongue or a common language or languages between the teacher and the object of instruction.The real Spanish TCFL class usually uses two ways to organize teaching: one is to use Spanish as a medium for teaching,the other is to use the target language directly.However,for the learners in the primary stage,is Spanish used as the medium language for teaching or direct use of the target language for teaching activities? Is there any difference in the teaching effect between the two classes using medium language and target language? How to implement classroom activities better?Based on the above problems,this thesis adopts the methods of case study and comparative research,selects two classes in the primary stages of Spanish primary school CEIP SAN JOSE as the research objects.By comparing whether there are media languages in Spanish TCFL or not,this thesis discusses the different teaching effects,then probes into the importance of media language and its specific principles of using.At the end of study,the students of were tested.Finally,the experimental data were counted by using the SPSS from each teaching loop section analyzes the differences between teachers' use of media and use of target language in teaching effect.The present study has found three main points.First,First,according to the results of classroom observation,in the primary stage of teaching in Spain,the proportion of media used by teachers in each teaching link is different,the proportion of media used in the classroom teaching link is relatively small,the proportion of media used in the classroom management and teacher-student feedback link is relatively high;in terms of teaching content,teachers use a high proportion of media language in grammar and vocabulary interpretation and text teaching.Second,in the primary stage of Chinese teaching in Spain,the use of media for teaching activities is better than the direct use of the target language for teaching activities as a whole;the positive impact of media on the teaching effect is manifested in the teaching of abstract vocabulary and grammar,among which,the most significant impact on the teaching of abstract concepts and culture.Third,in the primary stage of teaching Chinese as a foreign language in Spain,teachers should first understand the language level of the learners,decide and adjust the proportion of media language used in the classroom according to the level of students and the class situation in time;the media language used by teachers in the process of using media language should be standardized and the principle of moderation should be followed to avoid excessive use and dependence on media language.
