As everyone knows, "For the development of every student" is the fundamental aim of implementing the new curriculum reform. Therefore, the establishment of a reasonable and effective evaluation system and operation mechanism is the central task of the new curriculum implementation and the key to the success of the curriculum reform. Different from the traditional student evaluation, the student evaluation that new curriculum advocates has its own characteristics in concept, content and method, which need to be understood and interpreted from different angles. The reason why the developmental evaluation is being favored highly by vast educators is that it is aimed at promoting students'better development in the future based on students'present status and pays more attention to students'participation and motivation. Though the theoretical system of the developmental evaluation has been mature, the studies of the developmental classroom evaluation combining with specific subject are few. However, since the classroom is the main position of teaching, teacher's evaluation to students is the most common, which aimed at stimulating students, making students more confident and helping teacher self-reflect and improve teaching. This thesis focuses on 40minites'classroom teaching in junior high with a purpose of finding and implementing an effective student evaluation in order to promote students'development and make the teaching and learning more smooth. The chapter one mainly elaborates the reason for topic selection, research content, research method and the innovation of this study. Chapter two defines the related concepts of developmental student evaluation and introduces the research status of student evaluation at home and abroad as well as relevant theories including the multiple intelligences, constructivism and developmental evaluation; Chapter three, as the core part, expounds two kinds of practical methods for implementation of developmental student assessment in math-- real-time evaluation of class and teachers' classroom observation, which include the definitions of the two methods, different classifications and some suggestions for specific operation. The two methods can encourage students, make the teacher-student relation closer and promote students'development of emotional attitude and values. Chapter four is an empirical study towards the feasibility of real-time class evaluation through questionnaires and interviews. As a result, it perfects the theory of student evaluation system and provides junior math teachers with specific and operational strategies of developmental student evaluation.
