The promulgation of the United States' NGSS in April 2013,changed the scientific education stagnating situation under the background of national science education standards which has not changed for 15 years.The science education of America has also gradually changed from"scientific inquiry" to "scientific practice",and "scientific practice",as the core concept of NGSS,has gradually come into the view of researchers in curriculum and instruction theory.This is not only a change in the key words in science education,but also a great revolution of teaching philosophy,teaching methods and teaching practice.Compared with "scientific inquiry","scientific practice" pays more attention to the students' ability of using the knowledge they have learned,the improvement of their various abilities and the formation of their scientific literacy.Compared with the developed country such as the US,the UK,the science education of China begins too late and the overall level is low,therefore,the most important thing is to enhance the quality of science curriculum of Chinese primary school.However,according to the research,the teachers of science in our country have little understanding in "scientific practice",and in the progress of educating,students will not participate in "scientific practice"actively,but their desire to take part in it are strong.The key point of this research is to find out whether the "scientific practice" was the method to improve the quality of science curriculum of Chinese primary school or not.According to the study of NGSS,this research constructs the frame of scientific teaching design of primary school under the background of "scientific practice",chooses the unit-<Enviroment and Us>which is one unit of science book of Grade 6 to do the design.Meanwhile,the research also makes the teaching design of<Disposal of Garbage>and applies the design to actual teaching to verify the result.According to the teaching practice,we found that the scientific teaching design of primary school based on "scientific practice" has good teaching effects.It can stimulate students'interest in learning and improve their participation in the classes and improve students' various abilities and their comprehensive quality.It can also develop functional science literacy and consciousness of citizenship.However,there are also some problems in the teaching designsuch as incomplete analysis of students' situation,improper difficulty of scientific practice and inappropriate combination of teaching methods.At the end of this research,there are some suggestions to improve the teaching design of science in primary school on the basis of "scientific practice",like analysing students' situation overall,choosing proper subject of"scientific practice",regulating the difficulity of practice accurately,and looking for other teaching methods with the help of "scientific practice".
