The mainland and Taiwan have the same cultural background,whether in the arts,the economy the culture or the education,are inextricably linked closely.The introduction of the policy on calligraphy education across the Taiwan Straits can be regarded as the product of curriculum reform,which embodies the concept and focus of calligraphy education,and also presents the policy differences and characteristics under different political,economic systems and cultural ideology.This paper compares the potential ideological differences in the implementation of different calligraphy education between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait through the comparative study of the program of calligraphy education between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait,namely,the "Calligraphy Teaching Improvement Program" in Taiwan and the "Guidance Outline of Calligraphy Education in Primary and Secondary Schools".On the basis of the above,the author compares the content of the current Chinese Compulsory Education Chinese Course Standard(2011 edition)with the content of the calligraphy teaching in the National Chinese Language Curriculum(National Language Course)of National Curriculum for Primary and Secondary School Students in Taiwan,The differences in educational policy-making and learn from each other.This paper adopts the research methods of literature and comparative method,mainly from the development of the policies of the cross-strait calligraphy education,and discusses the curriculum localization,curriculum idea,teaching material compilation,teaching implementation suggestion and so on of the existing primary school Chinese education instruction outline.Surface for specific comparative analysis.There are many similarities and differences between the two sides in formulating curriculum standards.Both sides of the strait regard the calligraphy education as a part of the teaching of the Chinese subject in terms of curriculum orientation and curriculum concept.However,there are differences in the content and formulation of the specific teaching content because of the cross-strait teaching standards.The mainland pays attention to the influence of calligraphy on national identity,while Taiwan emphasizes the cultivation of calligraphy skills.In the aspect of teaching materials compilation and teaching practice,the two sides of the strait both put forward requirements for the direction and normative of teaching materials.In teaching implementation,the two sides of the strait have made specific teaching plan and played a good guiding role in the teaching of calligraphy.Finally,based on the differences of the policy on calligraphy education between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait,the paper points out the problems in the practical implementation of the primary calligraphy teaching and puts forward some suggestions for the calligraphy in the elementary school stage to promote the basic teaching of calligraphy.The calligraphy education of children is an important part of art education.The aesthetic accomplishment formed by students in calligraphy education plays an important role in the cultivation and construction of comprehensive quality.Therefore,let the children in the primary stage of the calligraphy language,calligraphy education,thereby enhancing national identity is an important goal of primary education.Both sides of the Taiwan Straits should also spare no effort to pass on the calligraphy,a traditional Chinese art unique to the Chinese nation,and become an indispensable spiritual food for mankind.
