In the 20 th century,the Chinese art were influenced by western culture and showed a scene of great diversity.Guoxue master Mr.Qian Mu think the essence of all kinds of controversy is the confidence of the Chinese traditional culture.His cultural attitude reflects the rich cultural self-confidence on Chinese civilization.With the strong push of his national cultural self-confidence,Qian Mu founded the New Asian Art Department personally and he has a system of artistic thoughts and ideas of education,especially he has a unique perspective and distinctive ideas in traditional national art education and cultivate Gao Meiqing,Li Dongqiang and other outstanding talent.So Qian Mu can be called a successful art educator and he should be included in the 20 th century Chinese art education history.However,the art education books in the 20 th century has not the system study on Mr.Qian Mu’s art education.The author collected a large number of text and image data and had a certain understanding and mastery on Qian Mu’s art education thought through a large number of reading "The complete works of Mr.Qian Binsi "(a total of 54 sets),all aspects study about Qian Mu and traditional art books.Therefore,this article will clarify Qian Mu’s cultural self-confidence and its performance in the new Asian art department through the analysis of relevant information in order to reproduce Mr.Qian Mu’s artistic education ideal as objective as possible.
