Research On Social Protection Service Mechanism For Children In Distress

This study takes the protection incidents of three children in N city as an example,through literature analysis,interviews and participatory observation methods to explore what are the problems existing in the government,community and social organizations in the mechanism of the social protection of the children in need,and propose to improve these problems of countermeasures and suggestions,in order to provide a basis for the improvement of the children's social protection services.The study found that the children's social protection service mechanism mainly has the following problems:First is the government level,the report found that the mechanism of guardianship system is not perfect,the lack of risk assessment mechanism will lead to many children in crisis or potentially dangerous immediately take away from the danger,in addition,relevant departments of the linkage mechanism is not perfect,the children in need have post resettlement difficulties,government investment in the children in need and the children protection organizations is insufficient;Second is the level of social organization,social workers lack of manpower,lack of professional ability,and public awareness of social work is low;Third is the community level,community child protection workers have no time to take into account child protection and crisis awareness is not strong.Therefore,the government should increase efforts to protect and improve the sector linkage mechanism,regulate the children's social protection work processes,social organizations to absorb professional social workers,to enhance the professional level of community building and children service center,strengthen the propaganda,improve the volunteer service team,dynamic management of the children archives,management departments join forces to build a society involved in the children's social protection mechanisms.
