The characteristics and basic ideas of ideological and political course require teachers to shape a sound personality of senior high school students. Also, the aim of the course is to make students grow into qualified modern citizens. Philosophical literacy is just the essential spiritual quality of modern citizens. To enhance the students' philosophical literacy is the teaching task of?Life and Philosophy?module.It is the pursuing goal of ?Life and Philosophy? module, too. A great number of front-line political teachers shoulder the burden of teaching ?Life and Philosophy?module well. They have to make their classroom teaching get the taste of life and the taste of philosophy. They also have to make their classroom teaching become thoughtful and interesting. Eventually, they lay a solid foundation for students to form a correct outlook on world, life and values.This paper focuses on the research of ?Life and Philosophy? module. Firstly,this paper defines the connotation of philosophical literacy. It points out that philosophical literacy consists of philosophical knowledge, dialectical thinking ability and rational spirit. Also, it points out that philosophical literacy has the characteristic of implicit, integrity, practicality, transcendence. Fostering philosophical literacy will benefit students' personal growth and the development of the country and society.Secondly, this paper uses the methods of document analysis, questionnaire and classroom observation to investigate current situation of students' philosophical literacy. Results show that on the level of philosophical knowledge, students master the basic principles but they have incomplete understanding, students build a knowledge network but they can't distinguish category. Results show that on the level of dialectical thinking ability, students can analyze problems straightforwardly but they lack dialectical thinking, students can ponder problems straightforwardly but they lack profundity of thinking. Results show that on the level of rational spirit,students can recite principles skilfully but they are not good at questioning,students can make rational judgment but they can't reflect actively.Thirdly,this paper elaborates problems of ?Life and Philosophy?classroom teaching,mainly manifested as paying too much attention to teaching philosophical knowledge,relatively neglecting to train dialectical thinking ability, relatively being weak in cultivating rational spirit. At the same time,this paper analyzes why there are problems with the cultivation of students' philosophical literacy from angles of senior high school students,teachers and teaching materials.Finally,this paper is aimed at the above situation and courses.lt tries to explore strategies to enhance students'philosophical literacy.During the classroom teaching process,teachers should deal with several relationships,especially the relationship between imparting knowledge and wisdom,theoretical logic and life logic,teacher's status and student's status.Reading and thinking are both very important To promote teachers to improve their philosophical literacy,they should often read original philosophy books and writing articles about teaching reflection.What's more,teachers should actively develop and utilize teaching resources about philosophy.Teaching materials,classics,ancient poetry and cartoon are important teaching resources.Activities can guide students to think and enhance students' philosophical literacy,so teachers should lead students to carry out reading activities and debating activities.All in all,this paper strives to integrate theory with practice,hoping to provide some suggestions for improving ?Life and Philosophy? classroom teaching.This paper strives to better serve the front-line teachers' teaching practice and research,too.
