Parent child reading is a kind of way to emphasize the interaction between parents and children.Picture books,in the form of illustrations,highlights the value of reading education and has been widely recognized by the education sector and parents.Simultaneously,in parent-child reading picture books,it emphasizes relaxed learning,focuses on making children fully enjoy the joy of reading,helps to improve children’s interest in reading,which plays a key role in the development of children’s ability to read and write in the future.Parent-child picture book reading,the concept based on the children’s early education once was brought to China,which caused the great concern of the researchers,and was quickly promoted in the education practice.At the same time,preschool period is an important period of moral education,and also the best period of formation of a good psychological quality.Children have an innate ability to imitate.So,guiding them to read picture books about outstanding character will inspire and motivate them to learn from the excellent characters in the book,and subtle application in life.But in the last few years,Chinese scholars did not do much in-depth study in children’s moral cultivation education and parent-child reading picture books.Therefore,this study studied the value of parent-child reading picture books in children’s moral cultivation education,and based on it,analyzed the problems and causes in promoting children’s moral cultivation education by parent-child reading picture books and put forward corresponding solving strategies.In this study,4 kindergartens in Zouping County in Shandong province Binzhou County of small and medium class of the 200 parents as the research object,using the method of questionnaire,interview,analysis of parent-child picture book reading application form education and the reasons for the problems in the children’s moral character.The study found that:(I)the parents did not pay attention to the role of education to develop reading picture books on children’s character(II)children are not interested in the character class parents choose picture book(III)the parent-child reading,lack of proper moral education of the reading atmosphere(IV)parents failed to picture books and children’s moral education combination of real life(V)reading picture books emphasize on indoctrination moral knowledge,cultivate moral behavior ignoredCombined with the research conclusion and cause analysis,according to the characteristics of children’s physical and mental development,children’s developing needs,features of picture books and the author’s relevant experience on parent-child reading,the author put forward the education concept of this study,mainly from two aspects,picture content selection and parentchild reading methods,which laid the theoretical foundation for using picture books to practice children’s moral cultivation.This study is expected to study the various factors which have important influence on children’s moral cultivation by picture books resources,aim to reveal the effective strategies of children’s moral cultivation in parent-child reading and point out some effective ways to cultivate children’s moral character for family and social education.From the perspective of educational practice,this study will integrate various strategies to implement the education of children’s moral character.Of course,from the perspective of home-kindergarten synchronization of children’s education,children’s parents and family,after understanding the importance of children’s moral cultivation and mastering some practical strategies,are absolutely able to further cooperate with the moral education of the kindergarten.Implement children’s moral cultivation into the details of life and achieve the positive effect produced by home-kindergarten education.
