Family education is a source of children know themselves,society and world,picture book reading is an important way to achieve family education.Picture book reading is essential to the growth of young children,it can promote the comprehensive development of young children,and it can lay a solid foundation for children's lifelong.Picture book reading helps to develop children's reading interest,imagination and creativity;helps young children develop good habits;and it's conducive to establish good parent-child relationship.On the surface,picture book reading is that parents read the story of the picture with children,but the deep meaning is that parents use scientific methods to guide children to know the experience of the story.In this paper,the literature analysis method is used to check and compile the concept of picture book reading and research literatures of family education between inland and abroad.What's more,the author used questionnaire survey and the interview method to analyze the basic situation of reading book in the family education of 3-6-year-old children in five urban districtsBy investigating the situation of reading in the family education,it is found that the process of picture book reading has the following problems: parents pay more attention to the concept of reading picture book,but neglect the action;lacking of reading picture book,and neglecting the repeated reading;reading time is not enough in family reading education;reading methods are unsuitable in family education;and parents are incapable of choosing picture books.In order to solve the above problems,the author will give some suggestions: parents should improve the cultural quality;enact a picture reading program with children;improve the ability of guiding the reading;grasp the selection criteria of reading books;accompany children to cultivate good reading habits;and follow the CROWD guidelines.
