With the globalization of economy,the contradiction between population and sustainable development is growing,soil erosion and environmental pollution problems become more and more serious,and the geography is an effective way to solve these problems,so geography education more and more attention by people,people began to realize the value of geographic literacy training.The cultivation of students’ geographical quality from the primary stage is the necessary result of the development of the times.The course of "science","the earth and the universe" in the primary school plays a very important role in the cultivation of students’ geographic literacy.The knowledge of "the earth" and "the universe" in elementary school is the basis of the knowledge of Geography in junior high school,and it has a close relationship.The cultivation of geography literacy in primary school is the foundation of the future development of geography literacy.In the primary school "science" teaching began to pay attention to the cultivation of primary school students’ geographical literacy,for students’ lifelong development of an irreplaceable role.This paper mainly from the following aspects: first,the use of literature retrieval method to compare and analyze the status quo of domestic and international "geographic literacy" training.Secondly,combined with the experience of everyday life and the primary school pupils "science","earth and universe" part of knowledge,according to the 5 basic aspects of geographic literacy to specific design questionnaire survey were randomly selected from 5 students in Grade 3-6 primary school in my town in 400 students,in order to understand the training status of my town primary geographic literacy investigation,and the town status of 20 science teachers in 5 primary school,and find out the specific problems in cultivating pupils’ geographic literacy and some deficiencies.Then,according to the present situation of the cultivation of science teachers and pupils geographic literacy,a careful analysis of the course contents and standards,find out what students can develop geographic literacy through the content,and in the classroom teaching,constantly testing and modification.Finally,from the school,teachers,students and teaching content of the four levels of primary school "science" teaching in the training of geography literacy:First,to strengthen the primary school science teachers and pre service training;second,understanding and support of science teachers;third,strengthen the professional knowledge;fourth,to create a lively atmosphere in the classroom teaching,to stimulate students’ interest in learning geography;fifth,change the traditional teaching mode,cultivating students’ geographic literacy using multimedia teaching sixth,change;classroom evaluation mechanism,pay attention to the cultivation of geographic literacy;seventh,pay attention to the teaching practice and reflection,constantly improve their teaching ability;Eighth,teaching practice,students should use the geography ability;Ninth,grasp the geography learning methods necessary,improve students’ autonomous learning ability.In the future research,combined with other disciplines as well as secondary school geography knowledge,the primary school "science" for more detailed,in-depth analysis,put forward the training of primary school students’ scientific literacy.
