With the development of contemporary society and the requirements of a new round of basic education reform,the role of foreign literature in improving students' Chinese quality and cultivating students' sound personality is gradually being recognized by people.However,in the actual in-class teaching activities,foreign works' teaching has many problems,the teaching effect is far from satisfaction and it need to be improved and perfected.Receptional aesthetics has been regarded as a new idea of literary interpretation since its birth,which emphasizes the subjectivity of readers and coincides with the requirements of the new curriculum reform.Based on the aesthetic theory,this study combines it with the classroom teaching of foreign works and explores new ideas and methods to solve the current problems.The paper is divided into five parts:The first part is an introduction part.This part discusses the purpose and significance of the study,namely,to explore the methods and strategies of classroom teaching based on the aesthetic theory,and also discusses the necessity of research from the aspects of theory,reality and practice.At the same time,this study makes summaries and comparisons with the existing researches to show the feasibility of this research.The second part is about the relevant theoretical basis.Theory is the basis of practice,in this part,the author introduces the origin,development and theoretical perspectives of receptional aesthetics.The author discusses the feasibility of applying receptional aesthetics theory in foreign works teaching from three perspectives: the requirements of new curriculum reform,students' cognitive needs and characteristics of foreign works,thus laying a solid foundation for the following studies.The third part includes the current situation of in-class teaching of foreign works.Through the field investigation,the author understands the present situation of foreign works' classroom teaching in real schools,summarizes the status quo from the perspectives of teachers and students,and also summarizes the problems coming up from the investigation.The fourth part involves the discussion of in-class teaching strategies under the aesthetic guidance.This part is the center of the article.The author combines aesthetic theory with classroom teaching and puts forward five strategies: to create situation,stimulate the horizon of expectations,students' self-focus on the text background,teachers and students to participate in imagination,and to enrich the second text.The fifth part is about the application of classroom teaching strategy under the aesthetic guidance.These strategies need to be tested in practice.In this part,the author applies the above strategies in three representative styles of poetry,fiction and drama,and observes its practicability in practice.
