There are 13 public high schools in Rayong offering Chinese. There are so many students studying Chinese, so it is necessary to study the Chinese teaching situation in depth. Banchang middle school is a public high school in Banchang county, Rayong. It includes the middle and the high schools. Since Chinese class began in the school in 2010, it has been six years now. The Chinese teaching system in Banchang middle school is complete, so it is meaningful to study the situation of its Chinese teaching,and it also has some significance for the other 12 public schools of the same level.This paper is based on the author's ten months teaching experience in Banchang high school in Thailand. And I did questionnaires and interviews in my spare time, in addition, I find out a lot about the situation of the Chinese class by researching reference material. The whole paper is divided into four parts, the first part introduces the significance, the object and the method of research. The second part introduces the Chinese language teaching in Banchang middle school, including the number of Chinese learners, Chinese language curriculum and Chinese language teachers and teaching resources. The third part analyzes the problems in the courses of learning Chinese language in Banchang middle school and the problems in the teaching process of Chinese teachers in the school. The problem of the students is that they are not very active in learning Chinese and lack for the interest. What's more, the students don't follow the rules in Chinese class and they don't like to use the useful way to learn Chinese. The problem of teachers is mainly in teaching methods, which are obsolescent and single, for example, the method of teaching words is simply to let the student repetitive reading. These methods can't satisfy the psychological needs of children who needs a novel and lively way of teaching. On the other hand, the problem is that some teachers have no experience in classroom teaching. The classroom management for Thai students is not in place, and it is the cause of wasting the class time. The fourth part analyzes the causes of these problems and puts forward some suggestions. We think that schools, teachers and students should take charge of this result. The school is advised to make the syllabus, allocate teaching resources reasonably, increase the number of compulsory classes, increase the time of Chinese class; we believe that teachers should use the proper teaching method with games, lead the students return to order of the class. Meanwhile, the teachers use the effective strategies to avoid chaos in class. We suggest that students should pay attention to using the learning methods,build self-confidence, overcome the fear of problems, and learn Chinese in many ways.
