It is difficult for high school students to learn geography,which is very common.In 2001,the curriculumreform of elementary education that is promoting new teaching material and methods has been put into effect in China,thus there are clear sighs that students have more difficults in learning geography.System,structure and content of elementary education course are all adjusted and reformed.From the emphasis on teachers' "teaching" to the students' "learning",it highlights that the students act as subject status,while teachers play a leading role,and inspire the interesting and positivity of the students.New curriculum reform pays attention to the development of students' knowledge and skills,process and methods,and cultivation of emotion attitude and values,and emphasize that promotes every student to progress,especially some students with learning difficulties.Under the background of new curriculumreform,students with learning difficulties are given more attention.At present,many places begin to cancel the division of students into different tracks in high school,but not in Tibet.In high school,what a sophomore learns about is regional geography.And for students on the liberal-arts track they need to remember more knowledge on regional geography,so the phenomenon of students with learning difficulties is also growing.Therefore,in this research,with geography as the perspective,with investigation and study on the reasons why high school students feel difficult in geography study in Tibet,with students of sophomore in senior high school in Lhasa as the object of study,with literature research,questionnaire method,interview method and quantitative analysis method as the main research methods,we explored factors influencing difficulties suffered by students of sophomore insenior high school in Lhasa in geography learning,and with reference to the students' academic performance,based on the main performance of students with learning difficulties in sophomore in senior high school,we analyzed the influence factors,and put forward to countermeasures to solve students' difficulties in learning geography in Tibetan high school.In this research,we did data analysis mainly through interview and questionnaire survey method.We chose parts of sophomore from six senior schools in Lhasa to carry on the questionnaire,and sample schools are: Lhasa high school,Jiangsu experimental high school in Lhasa,Beijing high school in Lhasa,No.3 Senior high school in Lhasa,Ali high school in Lhasa and Naqu high school in Lhasa,of which Lhasa high school,Beijing high school in Lhasa and Naqu high school in Lhasa are key schools,the others are ordinary schools.Because tibetans constitute more than 90% of total population in Lhasa,most of sample students are Tibetan.In addition,Lhasa high school students most come from all regions of Tibet,therefore this study selected high schools in inner Lhasa city as samples,and explored the reasons for the formation of students with geography learning difficulties in high school in Lhasa,in order to further explore the reasons for the formation of students with geography learning difficulties in high school in Tibet.This study text is mainly divided into five parts: Introduction,literature review and theoretical basis,the analysis of the causes of difficulties of sophomore in high school in learning geography,countermeasure to solve difficulties of sophomore in high school in learning geography,conclusion.This study respectively based on these dimensions-students,teachers,family and other factors.First questionnaires reflecting a few difficulties and many difficulties in learning geography were analyzed.Second questionnaires of excellent students and students with geography learning difficulties in key schools were compared and analyzed.Third questionnaires of excellent students and students with geography learning difficulties in ordinary schools were compared and analyzed.Finally,the questionnaires of students with Geography learning difficulties in key schools and ordinary schools were compared and analyzed.We found out the causes of learning difficulties of high school sophomore in Lhasa,and in terms of these factors,this study gave corresponding countermeasures respectively,hoping to improve students geography grade,and meanwhile making them "overcome the difficulties and enjoy learning Geography”.
