With the further development of the new round elementary curriculum reform and the strong support of administrative departments,More and more attention has been paid to school-based teaching research and teachers' professional development.School based teaching research is closely related to teachers' professional development.Taking Jimo XX middle school as an example,This study explores the advantages and disadvantages of school-based teaching research in promoting teachers' professional development.At first,As a geography teacher,I participated in a series of teaching and research activities so as to obtain a lot of data.Secondly,the author selected a typical geography teacher to follow the trcks of her professional development.Lastly,I get some conclusions and make some suggestions.It turns out that the school-based teaching research is an effective approach to promote teachers' professional development.The initiative of teachers in school based teaching and research provides continuous impetus for teachers' professional development;The effectiveness of school-based teaching and research activities affects the quality of teachers' professional development.It is suggested to establish a sound schoolbased teaching research system and carry out various teaching activities to promote the professional development of Teachers.
