Research On Employment Guidance System For College Students In UK

With the reformation of market-oriented careers system and the expansion of college enrollment,the employment situation of college students is increasingly severe.How to develop and improve the careers guidance system for college students,to provide guidance and services for college students’ employment,has been attracting more and more attention.In order to solve the employment problem of College Students,both China and Britain have set up a different level of employment guidance system.Compared with the system of careers guidance of Britain,the college students’ careers guidance system started early and matured.Its cooperation among society,school and the country was closer and more flexible.Therefore,it is necessary to investigate the system of careers guidance of Britain for improving our careers guidance system.This article adopts literature research method,comparative study method and casestudy approach,etc.Firstly,the development process of the British university careers guidance system is analyzed from the historical angle;secondly,taking the British University of Cambridge as a case,its careers guidance system is described from careers policy,careers guidance institutions,personnel and objects,information service,and the contents of careers guidance,etc.Thirdly,the effectiveness of college students’ careers guidance system is analyzed from society,country,universities and individuals.And the problems existing in the development of the system is rethought.Finally,the characteristics of Britainic college students’ careers guidance system are summarized,and the countermeasures and suggestions are put forward to the establishment and improvement of the employment guidance system in our country.
