The Project-Based Teaching(PBT)is becoming a major method in Higher Vocational Colleges nowadays, which can encourage students to explore and innovate. It divides the learning target into a number of operational projects, which are taken as the center of curriculum teaching and takes typical products as the carrier,so that the students integrate the theory and practice when completing the tasks. Therefore, based on constructivism, the author adopted this method in the "International Trade Practice" course. The main conclusions of the study are as follows: Firstly, the core of PBT is to cultivate and develop students' problem-solving ability.Secondly, the PBT mainly includes four steps: to identify the project tasks,to develop the plan for tasks completion,to carry out the plan, and to evaluate the tasks completion.Thirdly, the most difficult process of PBT is how to guide the effective interactive activities between teachers and students. Finally, the application of PBT can effectively improve the performance of teaching and learning. In short,PBT is an all-round reform for the traditional curriculum concept, curriculum structure, teaching content and teaching methods and it is an opportunity as well as a challenge for teachers' teaching ability and the management of Higher Vocational Colleges.
