Tracing back to 1943,Autism development has also been nearly 80 years of history.During this period,scholars in many areas of autism have carried out their etiology and rehabilitation path.The previous theory and practice have showed that the autism is one of the congenital and can not be cured,but the early behavioral rehabilitation education can slow down their barriers to communication,improve the skills of social interaction,ease or even change the stereotypes of repetition as well as master the daily life of the necessary capacity,and ultimately promote the social integration of autistic patients.In the process of early rehabilitation of autistic children,their parents play an extremely important role in it.As the most intimate people of autistic children,their parents need to devote considerable time and energy to care for autistic children.The relevant domestic survey data show that the prevalence of autistic children in China increased year by year,as well as the number of relevant parents,but the parents of children with autism are still lack of social members enough attention.Therefore,the author,based on the perspective of social support,according to the reality of the situation of the parents with autistic children,by exploring how social workers provide relevant services,aims to help them get rid of the current situation.The internship of the author is a trainning center named the Wisdom of Children in Xi’an Island Children’s Intelligent Training Center,which is dedicated to the early rehabilitation of children with autism to provide educational institutions.During the internship,with the help of supervisors,the author gradually contacted with the parents of autistic children in the institution.By helping those parents who accompanied their children to attend parental professional training and face-to-face communication,the author can further deepen the relationship with the parents.Finally,by the establishment of interview,the author selected eight children as the researching object of this paper.Based on the observation in person,the author carried out some investigation and interview for the parents of the eight children in.that institution.The results from the data show that during the process for the children in the organization to receive rehabilitation education,the parents will suffer from much pressure form such aspects as the economic,the psychological,as well as family members.But by analyzing the current social support of the parents,it mainly came from the informal social support like the family members,relatives and friends,and such official one like social caring,institutional volunteer,the government,rehabilitation agencies,and hospitals.In terms of the overall situation of social support,the social support level of parents still can not meet the needs of their economic support,the training needs of professional rehabilitation knowledge,psychological and emotional guidance,social understanding and social torlarance.Therefore,the author tries to use the theory of social support to support the structure of whole paper,so as to explore how social workers to use professional methods to solve the needs of parents of autistic children.The author believes that social workers can know further about the parentsof autistic children by the case,group and community,by helping to establish and improve their parents’ social support network,and stress debugging and guidance to help them out of the pressure,and gradually established some confidence in the recovery of their children.
