The assessment of child's development is an important part of the kindergarten education.Portfolio assessment is a kind of assessment method of children development.Different from other assessment methods,portfolio assessment emphasizes process and pays attention to children's individual differences.On the basis of theoretical research and expert support,this study compiled the questionnaire and interview outline of "study on present situation on the application of portfolio in the assessment of child's development”.In order to understand the status quo of kindergarten portfolio assessment,kindergartens were randomly selected for questionnaire survey,and 10 kindergartens were selected to interview their teachers in order to further understand the status quo of kindergarten portfolio assessment.The results of the survey found that Shanghai kindergartens have good experience and practice in the process of using the portfolio assessment process,and there are also shortcomings and problems.The main problems and puzzles are as follows:1.There is a lack of specific and explicit criteria and programs for portfolio assessment.2.The portfolio materials point to uneven field,and there are few materials in the field of language and communication.3.Children's self and mutual assessment mode is not integrated into the assessment.4.Compared with the demonstration kindergartens,the frequency of other kindergarten teachers' assessment needs to be improved.5.The workload of teachers' portfolio assessment is too large.6.As one of the assessment subjects,the participation of children's parents is not high enough.In addition,based on the survey results of kindergarten portfolio assessment in Shanghai,this study puts forward some suggestions to develop the role of portfolio assessment in the assessment of child's development.To kindergarten teachers,first,fully understand the characteristics of children's character and the original level of development.Second,present the assessment indexes which may be pointed to the portfolio assessment combining with present themes Third,lead children to participate self and mutual assessment.Fourth,improve the timeliness of portfolio assessment.Fifth,mobilize the enthusiasm of the parents' participation.Suggestions from the field of kindergarten management,the first is to work together with teachersto formulate standards and programs for portfolio assessment.Second,organize teachers fully interpret the assessment index and motivate teacher's initiatives of portfolio assessment.Third,use network information to reduce the workload of teachers.The suggestion to superior administrative department,is to set up the corresponding assessment standards for child's development and regularly conduct lectures and training.
