The case method of teaching,as a practical training method,has a significant effect on the cultivation of teachers’ professional abilities in subject teaching(physics)graduate students.This study aims to explore the scientific structure of physical cases and practical procedures for writing physical cases through case writing;and further explores the conventional mode of case application through teaching applications of self-authored cases,which can provide the basis for teachers,in charge of subject teaching(physics)graduate students’ courses,to carry out case teaching.The main research work is divided into the following four parts:The first part states the origin of the research,the summary of the related research,the purpose and significance of the research,the ideas and methods of the research.It is the basis of this study.The second part is the investigation of the current teaching situation of secondary physics curriculum and teaching methodology.Through questionnaires,students from Shanghai Normal University,Zhejiang Normal University,Wenzhou University and Minnan Normal University were investigated.Through statistical analysis of data,we get the following conclusion: it is absolutely necessary to use the case method of teaching to effectively enhance the combination of theory and practice in the classroom teaching of secondary physics curriculum and teaching methodology.The third part is the writing of physics teaching cases.Based on the national physics teaching case library construction plan,we explored a practical program of physical case writing,and identified the scientific structure and content after many rounds of experts’ deliberation and modification.The writing procedure includes 4 steps: to determine the subject,to collect information,to organize,and to modify,and to embellish.The case structure consists of 6 parts,which are topics,abstracts,background information,text,thinking questions and instruction.Finally,5 cases are formed and selected as the case base of the Chinese professional degree teaching case center.The fourth part is the application research of self-authored cases.Based on the exploration of domestic and international case teaching practice researchtheories,starting from the current teaching situation of the “secondary physics curriculum and teaching methodology”,combined with the reality of subject teaching(physics)graduate students,a teaching practice was carried out in a university in Shanghai and a set of concrete implementation methods for case teaching was preliminarily established,including pre-class preparation,case introduction,student personal analysis case,student group discussion case,summary analysis case,after-class evaluation and feedback.The results of student interviews show that the case method of teaching has gained a high degree of recognition,and it is very suitable for the professional course of the Master of Education,it has a good teaching and learning effect.The innovation of this research is based on the exploration of the scientific structure of the physical case to study the effective application model of the physical case teaching,through the self-authored case and its teaching application,which provides operational basis for the further implementation of subject teaching(physics)graduate case teaching practice.
