A Study Of Countermeasures To Improve The Competitiveness Of Technical Services In Wuhan

Because of the technical advancement and industrial transformation in China, technical service industry centered by smart service and support is developing rapidly. Throughout the development history of China's technical service industry, many problems exist in the industry, such as urban-centered service industry, low standard service quality and level, poor resource utilization, insufficient supporting system, weak individual competitiveness and industrial supporting capacity etc. Most importantly, the technical advancement does not represent the qualitative change of services, the subdivision of technical services haven't met the demands of rapid market development. The strategic target and development requirement of central government and the whole country to Hubei is, “to establish a supporting point and lead the industry.” Wuhan, as the central city in Hubei, is necessary to improve its competitiveness in technology and service industry, and take efforts to lead and promote the development of technology in China.By analyzing the current status of studies that focus on the technical service industry at home and abroad, the author of the paper defined and determined the correlation and pertinence of the definition and characteristics of technical service industry. Based on the relevant theories, such as factor endowment theory and the theory of competitive advantage for the development of technical service industry and the research object of central cities and urban agglomeration, the significance, importance and goal of improving the competitiveness of technical service industry was introduced. Through the qualitative analysis, the author narrated the development status of technical services in Wuhan and constructed an indicator system to evaluate the competitiveness of China's technical service industry through AHP, so as to analyze the technical services status of 19(sub-) provincial central cities through methods like expert interview, questionnaire survey and delphi method and point out the typical problems and deficiencies in the development situation of Wuhan service industry. Through the pre-design of public policies based on the development status and existing problems, the author expected to propose corresponding suggestions and countermeasures for improving the competitiveness of technical service industry in Wuhan.
