| After the wave of economic reforms and opening policy of China,majority of the farmers shifted from rural areas to cities for earing better livelihood and getting positions in industries to upgrade their living standards.This was a paradigm shift from agricultural workers to industrial workers.The urbanization and industrial growth led “migrant workers” to meet the demands of new industrial era.Thus the migrant workers changed themselves to be fit with urbanization needs and it constituted the new socio-economic fabric of People’s Republic of China.The migrant workers are now the key participants in modern developments and transition of econmy.The eighteen Congress approved the up-gradation of economy,industrial growth,innovation and transformation of infrastructure and initiated a comprehensive policy for constant socio-economic development.It paved the way of green and open China and created a lot of employment market.The new market attracted the talented pool of workers as it needed innovation,high-quality talent,expertise and professional skills.The migrant workers were not able to meet the demands of rapid economic and industrial developments in terms of skills,training,education and professional skills.The new situation was alarming and challenging for the migrant workers,which necessitated their know-how,education and training to bring them at par with the new industrial requirements and competitive job market.All these contributed to urbanization,socio-economic uplift and infrastructural development of a country.Evaluating the training of migrant workers is very crucial for the government,business enterprises,training institutions and the workers themselves.How to evaluate the effect of migrant workers training,how to improve the quality of migrant workers training,has become a focus of social attention.Although,evaluating the migrant workers training has currently no huge effect but it will have direct effect on subsequent trainings and it will improve the training quality.Ascertaining the effect of migrant workers training in scientific and reasonable manner will help to standardize the market for migrant workers training,improve the quality of migrant workers training and make the limited training resources very effective.This paper tries various national and abroad documents to evaluate the training effect of migrant workers on the basis of four evaluation models.It provides some successful experience inside and abroad for evaluation.In order to get objectivity,comprehensiveness and measurability,the study combines qualitative and quantitative data from psychological,learning and behavioral aspects of seven vocational schools of Anhui province.It helped investigate the effect of migrant workers’ training.The study found the lack of training,lack of sense of responsibility and lack of interests from the migrant workers side.It was also found that the training environment is not sound.Finally,the training institutions and other relevant regulators were suggested to improve their system of training to impart quality training to the migrant workers. |
