Research On The Tea Production Layout Changes And Optimization Of Anhui Province

The Regional Layout Plan of Agricultural Products in 2006,tea is described as characteristic agricultural product.Moreover,in 2008 tea is also listed in Regional Plan of Dominant Agricultural Products issued by Anhui Province.As an important cash crop and beverage crop,market demand of tea is gradually increasing with the development of economy.Anhui Province,half of which is covered by subtropical monsoon climate,with the Yangtse River and the Huaihe River running through,has an area of mountains and hills over 50% of its coverage,where the natural conditions enable tea planting and tea producing.In 2014,tea output in Anhui Province was 111,200 tons,tea plantation area 166,560 hectares and unit yield 0.668 ton per hectare.Tea production has become the an important income source for the tea-growers in the mountainous areas of southern and western Anhui,and takes a significant lead in the development of mountainous region economy.As one of the dominant agricultural products of Anhui,research into tea production layout changes and optimization carries a vital economic meaning and practical meaning.This research analyzes the present conditions of the tea production in Anhui Province in the first place.Industry concentration theory,best sales core theory and comparative advantage theory are introduced into together with quantitative analysis afterwards,to empirically analyze the panel data of 11 tea producing cities in Anhui from 1990 to 2014.Pursuant to geographical locations,the 11 tea producing cities are divided into the southern Anhui mountainous area tea producing region,the western Anhui Dabie Mountains tea producing region and the Jianghuai hilly tea producing region.For the present conditions and changes of tea production regional layout,the research,from the two aspects of tea producing region and tea market,respectively analyzes the production concentration level,spacial shift of weight and comparative advantages in the three tea producing regions and 11 tea producing cities.For influencing factors of tea production regional layout,the research,for the purpose of pertinent analysis,classifies the 11 tea producing cities in the order of competitive edge into Huangshan City,the middle of southern Anhui mountainous region,the north of southern Anhui mountainous region,the western Anhui Dabie Mountains region,the Jianghuai hilly tea producing region for respective analysis to realize the research results reflecting the characteristics and features of each region.Lastly,policy suggestions are brought out based on the research outcomes.Through the research,it is concluded that the competitive edges of tea production in southern Anhui mountainous region stand out among the rest with large-scale and specification of production;comprehensive advantages of tea production increase at a high tempo in western Anhui Dabie Mountains region;advantages of tea production are not conspicuous in the Janghuai hilly area.The tea production layout of Anhui Province fans out with the southern Anhui mountainous area as the core.What influences the tea production regional layout principally are the natural conditions and agricultural science and technology.
