Unprecedented fierce competition in telecom market, but the original means of competition, the single, basic can't out of the category of price competition, how to occupy the advantageous position in competition, how to attract consumers, is a telecom operator in thinking about every day.The current market strategy formulation, mobile products, tend to have a problem with your head: what is the purpose of the launch, who is the target customer, what is in order to satisfy the target customers demand, and so on, for these problems are often no clear definition of planning and identification,The good news is that operators have realized these problems, and is constantly trying to solve;From the perspective of customer segmentation, this paper tries to research on customer segmentation strategy, for the operators from extensive management to fine management.This article attempts through to the fierce competition of China telecom market background analysis, draw lessons from foreign advanced experience of the developed operators and international famous consulting firm, illustrate the importance of customer segmentation, segmentation methodology are introduced, and the customer segmentation is applied to the mobile communication operation management: from the concept of mobile communication market segmentation, segmentation method, program, segmentation strategy, strategic and tactical level to the customer segmentation in all aspects of operations management applications, such as: product segment, channel segment, brand, price segment, segment marketing segmentation segmentation strategy applications;Through the analysis of actual case, specify how to apply segmentation strategy and the importance of customer segmentation strategy.At the end of the article, this article emphasizes the alone is not enough to segment customer segmentation is the various business processes, management processes, service process, the basis of the need to build or reconstruct the business process based on customer segmentation, service process and management process, customer segmentation can be part of the core competitiveness for mobile operators.From extensive management to the management of the telecom operators in the process of the transformation of scientific and accurate management, in this paper, through a large number of informative case, puts forward the viewpoint that bright, has the scientific nature, objectivity, comprehensive, practical, advanced, the telecom market has a certain guiding significance.
