The Study On Agile Project Management In HPE Company

With the rapid development of computer and information technology, in order to meet customers increasingly diversified and personalized needs, and to further reduce the risk of project development, various IT companies engaged in continuous exploration through its own innovation and transformation. In order to provide more efficient and convenient services, they continue to face the new challenge from technology, from customer demand. And wherein the application of agile development methods, more and more IT companies draw their attention.Firstly the research background, the research goal and the significance is introduced by this thesis. Then the development of software project management is introduced, especially agile project management and scrum. By comparison agile project management and traditional project management methods, the advantages of agile development is shown in details, and the substance of the concepts of "people-oriented" and "embrace change” is highlighted out. Secondly, to use HPE Company as an object of study, analyzes the characteristics of the project in HPE, and the limitations and difficulties of using traditional project management methods, then explore how to make the transformation with the new project management based on agile. Finally, using GLDW Data Warehouse project for the practice study, combined with the practice of the project, discusses in detail the step of introducing scrum, the process of building a scrum team, excellent agile development practices and agile development tools. The agile project management in HPE set a good example and provides valuable experience for company's further projects on how to use agile project management, also as a good reference for many domestic companies who will use agile project management.
