The Development Of Ginseng Industry Research

The northeast region is the main distribution area of Chinese ginseng. Jilin Province, the largest output, accounts for four-fifths of the country and seven tenths of the world. Ginseng has become a characteristic industry in Jilin Province, which is the main pillar to promote the rural economic development in the eastern mountainous area. The income of ginseng industry also plays an important role in the financial revenue of Jilin Province.According to the statistics, the annual output of Korean ginseng reaches only thirty percent of Jilin Province.But the annual output value of Jilin province is less than one third of South Korea. However, Compared to the decline in the price of ginseng in Jilin province, the price of Korean ginseng is rising year by year. Even some varieties 's unit price is ten times more than the Jilin province ginseng's. This study focuses on the planting, processing and marketing of the ginseng industry.Through the development of domestic and foreign ginseng industry, the paper discusses the current situation and existing problems in Jilin province. The measures of ginseng industry's sustainable development in Jilin province should be further explored as well.In this paper, the theory of competition, innovation, enterprise resource, peasant household behavior and industrial organization will be used to analyze the planting,processing and marketing of the ginseng industry and find out the key problems. At the end of this paper, the conclusions and recommendations of the ginseng industry in Jilin Province are put forward, based on the description and analysis of the Korean Ginseng Industry, which contributes the theoretical and practical value.
