Research On The Role Of Government In The Transformation And Upgrading Of Industrial Economy In Erdos City

Resource-based city is defined as a city extensively relies on mining industry in terms of economy and tax income. Resource-based cities have been playing a role of importance in boosting Chinese economy since the establishment of RPC. However, many resources have been depleting, and a range of social and environmental problems are arising in the mean time. Ordos, as one of the resource-based cities, is not otherwise. Bound by unfavorable factors and suffering from the economy downwards of Chinese economy, the economic transformation of Ordos seems imperative.In light of this, this article will redefine government purview in policy making, generalizing success cases in this field, and shed a light on economic transformation for resourced-based cities. It features the importance of economic transformation in the time of deepening reform, and weighs the advantages and disadvantages, analyze the issues the city will be faced with.
