The Study On The Impact Of Technological Innovation On The Export Trade Of Shanxi Province

As the ‘strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education' was put forward,China has given increasing priority to technological innovation,and the economic crisis in 2008 endangered China,enabling China to realize that technological innovation is the endogenous motivation to improve export trade as well as promote economic development.Technological innovation reduces the cost of production,enhances the competitiveness of products in international market,improves the technological content in products,optimizes the structure of exported goods,and promote further development of export trade eventually.As a typical resource-based inland province,Shanxi had been renowned for rich resource,and the major exported goods are coal,coke and things like that,but this kind of developing pattern led to severe loss of resource,as well as a series of environmental problems and unsustainable economic development.To change this situation,Shanxi province positively transforms the mode of economic development from depending on resource excessively to improving technological innovation,and promoting economic development through technology.Through enhancing the effort of technological innovation input,Shanxi province can improve its export trade and find a new method to transform its economy.Export trade in Shanxi province has gained huge progress,but the gap between it and the country's average level is still very enormous.This thesis focuses on technological innovation,analyses its influence principle on export trade in Shanxi province,and expects to put forward advisory policies and recommendations for the export trade and economic transformation in Shanxi province.This thesis selects the R&D inner expenditure,the full-time equivalent of R&D people,the amount of published technological paper,and the amount of recognized patent application as representative indexes to reflect the level of technological innovation,selects the amount of exported goods as the index to reflect the export trade,and then analyses the influence of technological innovation on export trade through time sequence model.It concludes that the R&D inner expenditure and the full-time equivalent of R&D people can promote the export trade significantly,despite to different extent.The amount of published technological paper also promotes the export trade obviously,but it is not the case to the amount of recognized patent application.This outcome is related to the type of patent application,the protection of intellectual property,and the capability to turn research achievements into productivity.Finally,The thesis comes up with corresponding policies and recommendations,including that the government should make related policies and rules,create excellent R&D atmosphere,enhance the input of technological innovation,foster and bring along talents,enhance protecting the technological outcome,as well as improve the ability to turn research achievements into practical productivity.
