The Study On Vertical Integration Mode And Its Performance Evaluation Of Farmers' Cooperatives

Nowadays,farmer specialized cooperatives face lots of problems such as narrow scope of scales,short industrial chain,low risk-resisting ability,the low level of profitability.The original running model cannot fully adapt to the new change of social situation.Farmers cooperatives needs to break through the traditional framework and then turn to the direction of vertical integration development,finally expanding the size of membership,extending the industrial chain,reducing transaction costs,enhancing its ability to withstand market risks and improve profitability.This paper mainly carries out research from the following several aspects: first,analyzing the current situation of vertical integration of farmer cooperatives from both foreign and domestic perspectives and then drawing topic of this article.Second,summarizing the basic theory of vertical integration of farmer cooperatives and simply analyzing some typical models of vertical integration of cooperatives.Third,on this basis,analyzing the status of vertical integration of farmer cooperatives and then analyzing the respectively running mode of vertical integration in detail of Nanjing Green Bridge fruits and vegetables professional cooperatives located in southern jiangsu,Gaoyou Jieshou rice production service cooperative located in central jiangsu and Jiangsu Sheyang Bilin garlic professional cooperatives located in northern jiangsu.Fourth,evaluating the performance of three typical cases based on Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process and drawing the corresponding conclusions from the aspect of operating costs,financing,the degree of vertical integration,the applicability of the model,comprehensive benefits respectively.Through research,the suggestions drew by this paper are as follows: First,support farmers' cooperatives on obtaining financing in a variety of ways.Second,develop level of vertical integration of farmer cooperatives moderately.Third,try hard to improve the service quality of farmer cooperatives.Fourth,pay more attention to ecological benefits.Fifth,accelerate the establishment of a sound talented person training system of farmer cooperatives.
