The Identification Of Kev Success Factors In Pharma-Ceutical Manufacturing Industry And The Empirical Study Of Its Impact On Enterprise Performance

KSF is an important concept of strategic Management-D.W.Daniel(1961)proposed it for the first time in "Crisis of Management Information published,he pointed out that most of the industries have three to five factors to resolve the success of a company.If a company wants to be successful,several factors must be done exceptionally well.In the field of strategic management,the key success factors is divided into the enterprise's and industry's.Industry is this paper's research object,"The identification of key success factors in pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and its impact on enterprise performance" is the research subject.First,through the analysis of the literature,summarize the connotation of the industry key success factors and identification method,then this paper concluded the definition and identification methods of this study.Second,get the preliminary success factors determined the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry through expert interview,using the analytic hierarchy process and count the scores of the key success factors identified,analyzed the effect mechanism of key success factors of pharmaceutical manufacturing industry on enterprise performance and put forward six hypotheses.Third,taking 105 listing corporations in pharmaceutical manufacturing industry in Shanghai and Shenzhen A shares of the main board of the market as the samples,using regression analysis method to test the hypothesis proposed in this paper.Fourth,this paper summarizes the research content of previous chapters and puts forward possible future research directions.Through the above research,this paper concludes the following arguments:(1)The connotation of the industry key success factors and the recognition methods.Through domestic and foreign scholars define the different meanings of industry key success factors,this paper use the David's idea:industry key success factors are the main conditions,variable,or ability which has a major impact on competitive position of enterprises in the industry.As for identification methods about industry key success factors,this study adopts the Arthur Thompson and Dick Rand's view and puts forward the specific operational method for identifying industry key success factors,including detailed steps,as well as the method of quantitative analysis,which is also an innovative point of this study.(2)Through the empirical research,it is concluded that the medicine manufacturing industry key success factors are research and development capabilities,quality,marketing ability and related diversification.(3)The medicine manufacturing industry key success factors has significant positive influence on enterprise performance.In this paper,we test the hypothesis by using the multiple regression method,and the results show that the hypothesis is established.In the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry,the research and development ability,marketing ability and its operation diversity have significant positive influence on the profit margin and the relative income share,but the relationship between the cost of sales and the operating profit of the enterprise has not passed the significant test,the reason is that the cost of sales in the year to improve the operating profit margin has a time lag effect.(4)There are three research directions on industry key success factors in the future.First of all,the industry key success factors are divided into industry key survival factors and key development factors;second,expanding industry key success factors to the other industries;third,the lag effect research of sales expenses investment ratio to the profit margin.
