With quick process of globalization,many multinational companies expand to overseas and continuously send staff to overseas from the headquarters,however,the problem pop up,since culture has involved a long history,there are significant differences in values,language,communication,thinking,etc.Some middle level managers of the multinational company is not willing to work overseas,some even showed a strong resistance.Due to culture difference,they will show different level and different period of adjustment,and these adjustment success level will result in different adeptness for both their work and life.At the same time,analysts pointed out that in recent years,multinational expatriate staff increases year by year,but the company which provides these "expeditionary force" overall welfare treatment is keeping no change,which induces previous period of a lot of people competing for jobs overseas gradually gone.And analysis,points out that these managers are also worrying their spouse work and the children's education,this leads too many employees with peers are reluctant to work oversee.Overall,one side is the increasing of demand abroad,one side is the expatriate management system is not mature,this contradiction induces the adaptability of expats because a serious topicFrom international human resource management development perspective,this article analysis staff assignment problem in the Intel(China)Chengdu branch by case analysis and investigation,together with individual interview method.By analysis the survey data,the questionnaire and individual interview,we summarized the cross-cultural adaptation problems,we analyzed the root causes of these problems,and suggest solutions to solve these problems.
