In the “knowledge economy”with the information technology developing rapidly,high-tech industry has strategic importance for any country to become innovation-driven society and technological power.High-tech industry of our country grows rapidly recently. It was late in getting started, but it has already become an important engine to stimulate China's economic growth.High-tech product trade has become an important part of China's foreign trade. The scale of export is expanding, the international status is improving and the competitiveness is enhancing. It is of great significance for improving the export structure and enhance international division status of our country to evaluate and research the dynamic relationship and mechanism between the competitiveness of high-tech product and its factors and put forward the relevant policy suggestions.Firstly, this paper defines the concept of high technology industry and classification by reviewing and combing the competitiveness theory and relevant literature on the export of high-tech product. This paper analyzes general profile, export structure, export mode, export market and enterprise structure by collecting and analyzing the export data of high-tech products in China. We find that the overall quantity is large, but the quality is not high;the export structure of the product is unbalanced;the export mode is single and so on.Then,we measure the competitiveness of China's high-tech products by international market share index, display comparative advantage index and trade competitive advantage index and compare it with countries such as USA,Germany and Japan and so on.Thirdly, this paper analyzes influencing factors of China's high-tech product export from the perspective of R&D investment, human capital investment, technological innovation level and foreign direct investment. We use trade competitive advantage index to represent China's high-tech products export competitiveness and use R&D expenditure,R&D staff full-time equivalent, patent applications and the amount of foreign investment represent R&D inputs, human capital, technological innovation ability and foreign direct investment respectively. Finally, through the establishment of VAR model we analyze empirically the dynamic relationship. The results show that there is a long-term stable equilibrium relationship between the competitiveness of high-tech products and the above four factors. The promotion of the role of R&D investment to the export competitiveness is most significant all the time. The second factor is human capital.Technological innovation can promote the competitiveness of products to enhance in a certain period of time.Foreign investment can also improve product competitiveness in short time, but long-term dependence on foreign investment is not conducive to improve product competitiveness.According to the problems and empirical conclusions in the export,we put forward some corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for improving the competitiveness of China's high-tech products.
