Technological Proress,Total Factor Productivity And China's Export Structure

Globalization is booming,the scale of China's foreign trade has expanded rapidly,and the export structure has changed.In the process of the development of international trade theory,the impact of technological progress on export trade has received more and more attention.Posner's technology gap theory introduces the production factor of technology,which suggests that technological promote the improvement of all factor productivity,then affect the foreign trade of a country.Therefore,this paper attempts to establish the mathematical model basedon the above theory,taking into the factor of total factor productivity in order to explore the relationship between technological progress and China's export structure andanalyze the impactof technological progress on export structure through the total factor productivity.Finally,makingsuggestions on optimizing China's export structure.Firstly,summarizing the literature on total factor productivity,technological progress and China's export structure,and analyzingacademic research ideas.Secondly,analyzing the theoretical mechanism among technological progress,total factor productivity and export structure through the relevant theory,which would provide the theoretical basis for research below.Then,this paper analyzes the status quo of China's technological progress through three aspects including the impact of China's innovation index,technological progress input and output and technological progress on economic growth,which shows that the level of China's technological progress has been improving.And analyzing the evolution of China's export structure,pointing out the development of China's export structure.Finally,on the basis of relevant theories,the empirical method is used to analyze the relationship between technological progress and China's export structure.Through the calculation and decomposition of the total factor productivity,it is founded that technological progress is the driving force to promoting the total factor productivity.Then,analyzing the influence of total factor productivity on China's export structure by building measurement model.It can be seen that the total factor productivity is the key to promote the optimization of China's export structure.Through the transmission of total factor productivity,technological progress is the root of the optimization of China's export structure.Finally,providing policies of optimizing China's export structure based on China's technological progress.
