The villages of coal mining area is located in the loess hilly area,and its ecological environment system is relatively fragile.Moreover,this kind of area has a wide range and is distributed in many provinces and cities.It is characterized by complexity of the terrain,serious land fragmentation and low vegetation coverage.A large area of water and soil loss exacerbated the destruction of the ecological environment.With population growth,the regional land consolidation planning It is very necessary to solve the ecological environment problem through land consolidation,now the use of the limited land resources in this area should be optimized,reasonable,efficient,economical and intensive.There is a great significance to study the ecological environment construction and regional development in this region.This paper begin with the background,purpose and significance.Based on the summary of the land consolidation,the development and application of GIS among the domestic and foreign literature review,it is proposed that to build the system which assist to finish the design of the land improvement plan of the villages of coal mining area among the secondary development technology based on ArcGIS platform.First of all,there should have the analysis and summary of theories about the land consolidation of the villages of coal mining area,then analyzes the requirements and feasibility of the auxiliary system,and at last,research the auxiliary system's design principle,structure and part of function.The auxiliary system,which is composed of basic database module,image pre-processing module,influence factor superposition analysis module and optimization module and supporting field engineering design module,can realize data unification from first to last.This paper takes village Cheguozhuang,Yuanzhuang,Shagou and Wanghushan which are in Shanxi Province as the research.It plans the layout of field and road and calculate the earthwork,based on the year of 2016 remote sensing data.The empirical results show that: first,the application of the GIS in the land consolidation work and the man-machine interaction design provide a new ideas and methods in the future on the villages of coal mining area;to the second,auxiliary system can achieve data unification in the whole process,which saves time and labor cost;finally,the auxiliary system in the design of land consolidation planning considers the ecological environment influence,and the final result of the planning and design is the best result of economic,social and ecological combination of the three.
