As the restriction role of resources and environment continuously strengthen in economic growth,industry attracts more attention.Although the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei has risen as a national strategy and been in deepening development,the total factor productivity(TFP)restricted the industrial transformation and upgrading for its lower lever.In order to grasp the sustainability of industry under the energy constraints,this paper analyze the total factor productivity of industry in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.Firstly,using the Solow residual method calculated the total factor productivity of industry and sub-industry in Beijing,Tianjin and Hebei provinces,and evaluating the industries grow mode based on the characteristics of TFP in different areas.The results show that the TFP of industry has sector and regional difference.Lower lever,slowing pace and extensive growth of industry in Hebei province makes it a short board of industry transformation and upgrading in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.Secondly,decomposing the TFP we find that capital productivity has a significant effect on TFP in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.But the Contribution of capital productivity to industrial growth is the smallest,which limited the improvement of TFP.Hebei's capital productivity becomes the focus of industry transformation and upgrading in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region because capital productivity contribution index is negative.Energy productivity becomes another focus for larger gaps between Tianjin and Beijing&Hebei and Beijing.Thirdly,the grey correlation method and entropy weight method are used to analyze the influencing factors of TFP.Through quantitative analysis we find that the relationship between factor endowment and TFP is the highest in Beijing and Tianjin.The relationship between enterprise scale and total factor productivity is the highest in Hebei.In Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region,the property rights structure has the maximum weight,followed by the enterprise scale,followed by the innovation ability,and the factor endowments has the minimum weight.Finally,on the basis of summarizing the conclusions,this paper put forward some policy recommendations to improve total factor productivity from three aspects: institutionalchange,structural optimization and upgrading of factors.
